Leonard Cantu started his law enforcement career at TDCJ. His love for law enforcement motivated him to become a police officer, where he then worked for a University system. After some time, Leonard utilized his acquired skills to further expand his career and relocated to Austin, Texas, working for a local police department. In 2015 he ventured to another local police agency in Central Texas, working as a police sergeant and is currently the Chief of Police. Leonard serves as an administrator for ATX Public Safety LLC during his time off. He enjoys spending time with his family and taking road trips.
Jason Payne graduated from the police academy in the year 2000. At the same time, he served in the United States Armed Forces. Jason completed many missions in the U.S. Army and retired as a Staff Sergeant. He continued his education, obtaining an Advanced Peace Officer License. Currently, Jason is employed as a Construction Safety Manager. He holds several certifications, including the OHSA Academy Construction Safety and Health Professional Certificate, CPR/AED Level Two Instructor Certificate, among others. He enjoys motorcycle riding, family-friends time, and charitable work as a member of a law enforcement bikers club.
Hector Solis started his law enforcement career in the state of Ohio. He acquired skills and experiences which landed a job with the local sheriff’s office as a special deputy. Later, Hector transferred to a large metropolitan police department where he gained more knowledge in public safety. Currently, he works as a police sergeant for a local police agency in Central Texas. He administers ATX Public Safety LLC during his off time. He enjoys technology, marketing, and investing.
Michael “Mike” Varela started his law enforcement career in 1995, after graduating from the police academy began working for a local Constable’s Office and local Police Department and then returned to a local Constable’s Office. Over his 24 + Years in law enforcement he has held the rank of: Deputy, Sr. Deputy, Corporal, Sr. Corporal, Sergeant, Lieutenant and is currently holds the rank of Chief Deputy. Mike also holds a Master Peace Officer Certification, Certified Police Instructor, and Certified Field Training Officer, and many other certifications. Mike loves serving our community, spending time with his family, enjoys travel and servers as an administrator with ATX Public Safety LLC.
